12 — 18 months

Rhinoplasty under Dr. Mahram is approached as facial architecture, not nose surgery in isolation. Each plan begins with full-face proportional analysis, three-view photography, and where indicated, a CT-based airway assessment.

We perform both preservation rhinoplasty — preserving native dorsum and ligaments to soften the recovery and protect long-term shape — and structural rhinoplasty using septal or rib cartilage where the nasal framework requires rebuilding. Functional septoplasty and turbinate management are addressed in the same operation when needed.

Patients are given a written surgical plan, a recovery calendar, and direct contact with the surgical team for the first six weeks.

A good candidate is

  • Dorsal hump or asymmetry
  • Bulbous, drooping, or over-rotated tip
  • Functional airway obstruction
  • Revision of a previous rhinoplasty

Techniques used

  • Preservation rhinoplasty (dorsal preservation)
  • Structural rhinoplasty with septal grafts
  • Costal cartilage graft for revision cases
  • Functional septoplasty + turbinate reduction

Risks & trade-offs

  • Bruising and swelling for 10 — 14 days
  • Temporary nasal congestion (4 — 6 weeks)
  • Asymmetry requiring minor revision (< 5%)
  • All risks discussed in detail at consultation
Frequently asked

Open rhinoplasty leaves a 4 mm scar across the columella that fades to near invisibility within twelve months. Closed rhinoplasty leaves no external scar.

Liposuction & body contouring
Body

Indicative fee

EGP 50,000–110,000

Final fee depends on theatre time, implants and complexity. Quoted in writing after consultation.

Procedure

Liposuction & body contouring

VASER and tumescent liposuction for definition of the abdomen, flanks, arms, and thighs — for patients close to their ideal weight.

Theatre

2 — 5 h

Anaesthesia

General or sedation

Hospital stay

Day case or one night

Recovery

7 — 14 days

Back to work

7 days

Final result

4 — 6 months

Liposuction is a contouring operation, not a weight-loss procedure. Dr. Mahram's practice is to operate only on patients within roughly 15% of their target weight, and to combine modalities — VASER for fibrous male chests and high-definition work, tumescent for general contouring.

Where skin laxity is present, liposuction is paired with skin-tightening procedures or staged with a tummy tuck rather than promised in isolation.

Compression garments, lymphatic drainage massage, and structured follow-up are included.

A good candidate is

  • Stubborn, exercise-resistant fat deposits
  • Patients within 15% of target weight
  • Stable weight for at least six months
  • Realistic expectations regarding skin redrape

Techniques used

  • VASER ultrasound-assisted liposuction
  • Tumescent liposuction
  • Renuvion / J-Plasma skin tightening
  • High-definition athletic etching (selected cases)

Risks & trade-offs

  • Swelling and firmness for 6 — 12 weeks
  • Contour irregularity (rare, addressable)
  • Seroma requiring drainage in < 3% of cases
Frequently asked

Removed fat cells do not regenerate. Significant weight gain after surgery, however, will enlarge the cells that remain in untreated areas. Maintaining a stable weight protects your result.

Breast surgery
Breast

Indicative fee

EGP 80,000–140,000

Final fee depends on theatre time, implants and complexity. Quoted in writing after consultation.

Procedure

Breast surgery

Augmentation, reduction, mastopexy, and reconstructive breast surgery — selected after a structured proportional consultation.

Theatre

2 — 4 h

Anaesthesia

General

Hospital stay

One night

Recovery

10 — 21 days

Back to work

10 — 14 days

Final result

6 — 9 months

Breast surgery is offered across the full spectrum: augmentation with motiva ergonomix or mentor implants, reduction for symptomatic macromastia, mastopexy (lift), and oncoplastic reconstruction following lumpectomy or mastectomy.

Sizing is conducted with 3D simulation and external sizers worn home for three days before surgery is scheduled. We do not encourage same-day decisions.

All implant patients receive a registered implant card and lifetime implant warranty documentation.

A good candidate is

  • Asymmetry, hypoplasia, or developmental difference
  • Symptomatic macromastia (back, shoulder, posture)
  • Post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss ptosis
  • Post-mastectomy or post-lumpectomy reconstruction

Techniques used

  • Subfascial / dual-plane augmentation
  • Wise-pattern or vertical-scar reduction
  • Auto-augmentation mastopexy
  • DIEP-flap reconstruction (for selected cases)

Risks & trade-offs

  • Capsular contracture (< 4% at five years)
  • Sensory change in nipple-areola complex
  • Implant rupture requiring exchange
Frequently asked

Modern fifth-generation cohesive silicone implants are extensively studied. We use only FDA- and CE-cleared devices and discuss BIA-ALCL surveillance at every annual review.

Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Body

Indicative fee

EGP 75,000–110,000

Final fee depends on theatre time, implants and complexity. Quoted in writing after consultation.

Procedure

Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Full and mini-abdominoplasty with rectus repair and lipo-contouring for post-pregnancy and post-weight-loss patients.

Theatre

3 — 4.5 h

Anaesthesia

General

Hospital stay

One to two nights

Recovery

14 — 21 days

Back to work

21 days

Final result

6 — 9 months

Abdominoplasty addresses what diet and exercise cannot: stretched skin, separated rectus muscles (diastasis), and persistent lower-abdominal fullness following pregnancy or significant weight loss.

Dr. Mahram performs the operation with quilting sutures (no drains in most cases), enhanced-recovery anaesthesia, and an early-mobilisation protocol that has patients walking the same evening.

Where indicated, the procedure is combined with VASER liposuction of the flanks for a complete circumferential result.

A good candidate is

  • Post-pregnancy abdominal laxity and diastasis
  • Post-weight-loss skin redundancy
  • Persistent lower-abdominal pannus

Techniques used

  • Standard full abdominoplasty
  • Mini-abdominoplasty (limited skin excision)
  • Drainless quilted-suture technique
  • Combined 360° lipo-abdominoplasty

Risks & trade-offs

  • Hip-to-hip scar that fades over 12 — 18 months
  • Temporary numbness across lower abdomen
  • Seroma requiring aspiration in < 5% of cases
Frequently asked

In most cases no — we use a quilted-suture technique that closes the dead space and removes the need for drains. A small minority of larger cases will have one drain for 48 hours.

Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Face

Indicative fee

EGP 35,000–55,000

Final fee depends on theatre time, implants and complexity. Quoted in writing after consultation.

Procedure

Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Upper- and lower-eyelid surgery to refresh tired-looking eyes, with fat preservation rather than removal where possible.

Theatre

1 — 2 h

Anaesthesia

Sedation

Hospital stay

Day case

Recovery

7 — 10 days

Back to work

10 days

Final result

3 — 6 months

Blepharoplasty is performed conservatively, preserving orbital fat where possible (transposing rather than excising) so that the eye area looks younger but never hollowed.

Upper-lid surgery is typically done under sedation with a 7 — 10 day downtime. Lower-lid surgery favours the trans-conjunctival approach when only fat repositioning is required, leaving no external scar.

Concurrent CO₂ laser resurfacing of fine eyelid lines is offered in the same session.

A good candidate is

  • Excess upper-eyelid skin causing a heavy or tired look
  • Lower-lid fat herniation (under-eye bags)
  • Festoons or malar mounds (selected cases)

Techniques used

  • Skin- and skin-muscle upper blepharoplasty
  • Trans-conjunctival lower blepharoplasty
  • Fat-repositioning rather than fat removal
  • Adjunctive CO₂ laser resurfacing

Risks & trade-offs

  • Bruising and swelling for 7 — 10 days
  • Temporary dry-eye sensation
  • Asymmetry requiring touch-up (rare)
Frequently asked

No — we keep the eyelid contour, preserve fat where appropriate, and avoid an over-pulled appearance. The aim is rested, not surgical.

Facelift & deep-plane lift
Face

Indicative fee

EGP 120,000–180,000

Final fee depends on theatre time, implants and complexity. Quoted in writing after consultation.

Procedure

Facelift & deep-plane lift

Deep-plane and SMAS facelift with neck lift, structured to reposition tissue rather than pull skin.

Theatre

4 — 6 h

Anaesthesia

General

Hospital stay

One night

Recovery

14 — 21 days

Back to work

21 days

Final result

6 — 12 months

Modern facelifting under Dr. Mahram is a deep-plane operation: the dissection is carried under the SMAS layer to release retaining ligaments and reposition descended fat compartments. The skin redrape is the consequence, not the mechanism.

This approach produces results that look natural and last meaningfully longer than skin-only lifts, with no telltale lateral pull.

Most patients combine facelift with neck-lift platysmaplasty, lower-lid blepharoplasty, and discreet fat grafting for full facial harmony.

A good candidate is

  • Mid-face descent and jowl formation
  • Loose neck (platysmal banding, submental fullness)
  • Patients in their late 40s to 70s in good health

Techniques used

  • Deep-plane facelift
  • Extended SMAS facelift
  • Platysmaplasty (neck lift)
  • Adjunctive structural fat grafting

Risks & trade-offs

  • Bruising and swelling for 2 — 3 weeks
  • Temporary numbness across cheeks (resolves)
  • Hairline alteration around incisions
Frequently asked

A well-executed deep-plane facelift typically holds for ten to fifteen years. You will continue to age, but always from a younger starting point.

We routinely recommend non-surgical alternatives, refer to other specialists, or simply more time. The first consultation is the most important.
